How to Play[]
- You can access the event by clicking the event banner at the top of the Front Lines menu.
- Each time you enter an event map, you will consume 1 Event Pass. You can carry up to 6 Event Passes at a time.
- Refilling each Event Pass costs 300 Koban.
- 3 Event Passes will also automatically refill for free at 5:00 and 17:00 JST (GMT+9).
- There are four event stages of varying difficulty levels. Each time you pass through a node, you will draw a card. These cards can have different effects. More details about these cards are found under Card Combo and Effects.
Beads[]
There are 3 ways of obtaining beads from this event:
- Drawing a beads card
- Being victorious against an enemy after drawing an enemy card
- Defeating the boss node.
Beads can be used to obtain various rewards.
Event-Only Items[]
Event-Limited Troop: Instrumentalist[]
Instrumentalists can only be used in battles during the Village of Treasures - Flower Gathering Stage event. Equipping Instrumentalists will increase the Experience gained by Touken Danshi. All Touken Danshi can equip the troop regardless of their usual equipable troops. Equipping multiple Instrumentalists will further increase the Experience gained by the sword they are equipped to (e.g. equipping three Instrumentalists to one sword will grant an Experience bonus of +30%).

How to Obtain Instrumentalists
While the Village of Treasures - Flower Gathering Stage event is active, Instrumentalists can be created in the Armory menu.
- The recipe for one Instrumentalist is fixed at one instrument and 50 of each resource.
- Because they are limited to the Village of Treasures - Flower Gathering Stage event, both the Instrumentalists equipped and the ones in your inventory will disappear after the event period is over. Thus, is it advisable to dismantle any remaining Instrumentalists before the event ends, for a small return of resources.
Investigation Tools (VOT-Flower)[]
- The "Investigation Tools (VOT-Flower)" is an event-only item that can be used only in Village of Treasure-Flower Gathering events.
- The "Investigation Tools (VOT-Flower)" is for sale at the Shop.
- Effects of the "Investigation Tools (VOT-Flower)" are as follows:
- Able to access the event without using a pass.
- Can choose 1 card out of a selection of 10 cards when entering the event map.
- The amount of beads obtained when returning to citadel will be tripled (3x), even if you are forced to retreat.
- Take note that:
- The beads will only be tripled when you return to the citadel.
- Since the "Investigation Tools (VOT-Flower)" is an event-only item, remaining items will be removed when the event ends.
- There will be an icon at the top left of the screen in the event maps when the item is in use.
Special Investigation Tools (VOT-Flower)[]
- The "Special Investigation Tools (VOT-Flower)" is an event-only item that can be used only in Village of Treasure-Flower Gathering events.
- The "Special Investigation Tools (VOT-Flower)" is for sale at the Shop and is limited to 1 purchase per day per account.
- The effects of the "Special Investigation Tools (VOT-Flower)" are the same as the "Investigation Tools (VOT-Flower)" except that the amount of beads obtained when returning to citadel will be decupled (10x) instead.
Battle []
- The top panel shows the number of beads obtained, move count and enemy difficulty (1 to Max (最大)). The bottom panel is for the card combos you have collected.
- Clicking the toggle at the bottom allows you to switch between the names of the card combos and the number of beads obtained by completing that combo.
- After entering the event map, battles start when you select a card to proceed onto that node.
- The selected card will glow green, along a card slot in the combo(s) it is a part of.
- The enemy type depicted on the card will be the enemy you will face in battle, being full teams of either Tantou, Wakizashi, Uchigatana, Tachi, Ootachi, Yari or Naginata.
- Defeating the enemy team will give you the chosen card, random reward cards and beads.
- Once you managed to form a card combo with the cards you have collected, and collected the combo card reward beads, the option to use "Koi Koi" will appear.
- Once your move count goes down to 0, you will have to fight the boss enemy team at the boss node which automatically appears.
- Defeating the boss enemy team will grant you reward cards which you can choose a certain number of cards from a random selection. The number of cards you receive will depend on the enemy difficulty level that is raised when you choose "Koi Koi".

Card Combo and Effects[]
- Card combos are formed based on the cards you select at the nodes in the event.
- The possible combos will be shown at the bottom of the screen.
- When you hover over or are choosing between cards, the possible combo it can be part of will glow green.
- The chosen card will be obtained after you defeat the enemy at the node.
- Completing the card combos will grant beads as well as give special effects to your team, which are listed below:

↑ *For the "Lights" cards, the amount of beads obtained will be determined from the highest ranking "Lights" combo you managed to obtain. When you achieve a higher ranking combo, you will instead receive the difference between the beads. Example: You get 75 beads when you make the "Three Lights" combo. If you get the "Five Lights" combo right afterwards, you will only gain an additional 175 beads since the "Five Lights" combo is worth 250 beads.
"Koi Koi"[]
- When you complete a combo, "Koi Koi" will appear before your next card selection node.
- You will then have the option to "Agari" or "Koi Koi".
- "Agari" is the red option on the left, whereas "Koi Koi" is the blue option on the right.
- Choosing "Koi Koi" will increase the enemy difficulty by 1, and increase the number of cards awarded after defeating the enemy by 1.
- Choosing "Agari" will turn the next node into the boss node regardless of how many moves you have left, and after clearing the boss node, you will return to the citadel.
- Repeatedly choosing "Koi Koi" will increase the enemy difficulty, and the number of reward cards you receive after defeating the enemy.
- The maximum increase of "Koi Koi" is limited to 3 times, so choosing "Koi Koi" the 4th time will no longer increase the difficulty or give additional cards.
Special Cards[]
Occasionally, special cards will appear at the node selection. Choosing it will grant you more EXP and beads after you defeat the enemy. The special card will glow white.

Defeating the Boss[]
- You will obtain reward cards after defeating the boss node.
- The number of reward cards (1 to 5) will depend on how many times you choose "Koi Koi" before reaching the boss node.
- You will be able to choose the reward cards from the a selection of cards that is formed from the cards you were unable to obtain before reaching the boss node.
Regarding Forced and Voluntary Retreat []
You will be forced to return to the citadel if:
- Your entire team is forced to withdraw because of severe damage.
- Your team captain is forced to withdraw because of severe damage.
- Your team lost a battle
You will only retain 25% of the beads you have collected from your run if you are forced to return to the citadel unless you are using "Investigation Tools (VOT-Flower)" or "Special Investigation Tools (VOT-Flower)" in which case you will retain all the beads you have collected. If you choose to voluntarily retreat, you will return to the citadel with all the beads you have collected so far.
Instruments[]
- In this event, instruments may be obtained as a rare drop from defeating the boss node, and by reaching certain bead milestones.
- There are 5 types of instruments: fue, koto, shamisen, taiko and suzu, all of which can be dropped at the boss node.
- The collected instruments may be exchanged for Attendant BGM at the Backgrounds, Obtain Music button. The amount needed to exchange for each Attendant BGM may differ.
- Once you obtain the Attendant BGM, you may change the Citadel BGM. You can trade instruments for Attendant BGM in the Backgrounds menu.
- After the event, instruments will remain in your inventory, and the songs will always be available for purchase.
- The maximum number of an instrument you can own is 999.

In the Event of Internet Disconnections[]
During the event, if the game is interrupted due to connection issues, it may be possible to continue playing from where the interruption occurred after logging in again within 24 hours of the disconnection.
Clicking the green button (はい) will allow the player to continue from the last point prior to disconnecting, while clicking the black button (いいえ) will end the run and return the team to the citadel.
If the interruption occurred after a battle has begun, the battle will be considered completed with the outcome decided. If the outcome was a defeat, the player will be returned to the citadel with the bead number reflecting this outcome.
However, if 24 hours have passed, the beads will not be added to the final count, and the pass will not be recovered.

Notes[]
- Upon returning to the citadel, health and troops lost during the sortie will be restored.
- Fatigue accumulates as normal.
- Any HP or troop health loss or gain in the event (either through card combos or use of Hakusan Yoshimitsu) shall not be reflected upon return to the citadel.
- Swords cannot break in the event. Any swords that are pushed back or have their HP reduced to 1 will not be able to participate for the subsequent battle(s).
- Swords that have been knocked out can rejoin the battle if they have their HP restored by Lights and Sake card combos.
- No swords will drop after defeating enemies in the event maps.
- Missions can be completed with sorties to the village.
- Omamori will not activate and will not be consumed.
- There is no level limit to gaining experience.
- Kebiishi will not appear.
- The total bead count is shown at the top of the event screen.
- A list of bead milestones and their corresponding rewards can be accessed by clicking the blue button to the right of the bead count.
- Obtained beads will disappear after the event.
