Introduction[]
Due to the long term battles, the Government of Time has instructed the saniwas to preform a special mission to investigate the forsaken world where the history of the Keiou Koufu had been changed.
Complete the event once to obtain the special event limited sword who accompanies you throughout the event as an Investigator. Saniwas are advised to bring Kashuu Kiyomitsu to see some special event scenes.
How to Play[]
The event map is accessible by clicking on the Event (催物) tab in the Front Lines menu. Because there is a possibility that Special Investigation event will span over a long time period, you cannot send out a team that has your secretary sword in it. In addition, swords whose team is currently in the event investigation will not be usable for following activities:
- Sortie to normal maps
- Expedition
- PvP
- Team formation change
- Dismantling
- Repair
- Refinery
- Ranbu level training
Action Selection[]
There are some actions that can be selected in the event map which will determine your next course of action.
- Rolling the dice
- Uses a dice that you have on hand, will add to the action counter you have according to the number displayed on the dice.
- Recover team
- Consumes a dried chestnut, to recover both the health of your swords and the health of the troops equipped. Destroyed troops will also be recovered.
- Consume Sennin Dango, Makunouchi Bento and One Bite Dango to restore fatigue of your swords.
- Warning! Swords that have been destroyed in battle will not recover.
- Retreat
- Brings your team that was sortied to the Special Investigations: Keiou Koufu back to your citadel and unlocks the action restrictions of the team.
- The action counter will be returned to 0.
- On the next sortie in the event, your team will be returned to the last returning point in the section of the event map you have reached.
- Suspend/Pause investigation
- Brings your team back to your citadel while preserving their sortie status in the Special Investigation: Keiou Koufu
- The action counter will remain as it is.
- On the next sortie, your team will resume the investigation according to the state where you suspended it.
Action Counter[]
In order to move between the nodes in Special Investigation: Keiou Koufu, you will need moves. One move from the action counter will allow you to move one node. You can add to your allowed moves by rolling a die in your possession. You can have up to six dice, and three dice will be replenished at 5:00 and 17:00 JST each time, regardless of the number you have before that time. You can also use Lucky 7 Dice in place of normal dice to add to your action counter.
- These dice are not replenishable by using koban.
- If you have remaining moves after defeating the final boss node, the remainder moves will be inherited when you re-enter the event and restart from the first node again.
Event Nodes[]
- Apart from the starting node or the Koufu Citadel node, you can advance to any node that you have already cleared.
- Apart from Territory nodes or Cleared nodes, the effects of the nodes will be activated if you choose to move on to that node again.
- A list of the nodes in this event is listed as follows:
- 2x EXP node
- You will receive 2x EXP in the next battle. The effect cannot overlap.
- Recovery node
- Restore the health of the swords and the troops equipped.
- Troops that have already been destroyed (i.e. at 0 health) cannot be restored.
- Retreat node
- Return to Citadel. Upon re-entry into the event map, you will restart from this node.
- Your move counter will remain the same.
- Enemy node
- Battle with the enemy will occur.
- The enemies that appear will differ depending on the map.
- Enemy Invasion Team node
- Battle with the enemy will occur.
- Defeating them will reduce the number of Enemy Invasion Teams by 1.
- Enemy Security Force node
- Battle with the enemy will occur.
- Defeating them will result in you returning to the last Retreat node, no moves will be deducted in this case.
- Territory node
- Defeating an Enemy or Enemy Invasion Team node will turn it into a Territory node.
- There are no effects if you land on a Territory node.
- Territory (Base) node
- Have no special effects.
- Losing all Territory (Base) nodes will result in forced retreat and all converted Territory nodes will return to being an Enemy or Enemy Invasion Team node.
- Cleared node
- Enemy nodes in Koufu Castle will turn in to Cleared nodes after winning the battle.
- Have no effects even if you step on them again.
- Cannon Boss node
- Starts a boss battle. Defeating it will count as 1 boss clear in the Koufuchu map.
- Boss node
- Starts a boss battle.
- Final Boss node
- Starts a battle with the Koufu Citadel Final Boss.
- You will retain the moves you have in the next event round if you win this battle.
- Koufu Castle Entrance node
- Move to the Koufu Castle map.
- Koufu Citadel Entrance node
- Move to the Koufu Citadel map.
- Shortcut node
- Shortcut that is accessible upon progression in the event.
Restart Points[]
When you select the Retreat action, or is defeated in battle, upon returning to the event map, you will restart at certain nodes depending on your previous position in the map.
- In the Tsutsujigasaki map, before defeating the boss node and it turns into the Retreat node, you will restart at the starting node. Upon defeating the boss node, you will restart at the Retreat node it turns into.
- In the Koufuchu map, before reaching the Koufu Castle Entrance node, you will restart at the starting node. If you reached the Koufu Castle Entrance node, then you will restart there.
- In the Koufu Castle map, before reaching the Retreat node, you will restart at the starting node. Upon reaching the Retreat node, you will restart there.
- In the Koufu Citadel map, before defeating the Koufu Citadel Final Boss, you will restart at the Retreat node in the Koufu Castle map.
- In the event you failed to be evaluated as "Good" after defeating the Koufu Citadel Final Boss, you will restart at the starting node of Koufu Castle map.
Unlocking the Maps[]
- The event maps start out being covered in clouds that will be removed as you progress in the event. To remove the clouds, you will need to reach the starting node of Koufuchu.
- Additionally, the event map will change after you reach the Koufu Castle Entrance node.
Shortcut Route[]
Progressing in the event will allow you skip nodes. Using the Shortcut Key will allow you to go directly to the Koufu Citadel map from Koufuchu.
Battle Restrictions[]
- In Tsutsujigasaki, Koufuchu and Koufu Castle (front part), the effect of horses will be reduced.
- In Koufu Castle (back part) and Koufu Citadel:
- Horses will have no effect
- Ootachi and Naginata can only hit one target
- The only long range equipment that has any effect is the musketeers
Forced Retreat[]
You will be forced to retreat to the Citadel when you are defeated in battle, or your team captain is severely injured.
- In the event you are forced to retreated, the move counter will automatically be cleared to 0.
- You will restart at the respective restart points when you return to the event map.
Clearing Koufuchu[]
To fully unlock the Koufuchu map[]
Part of the map will remain hidden, and you will not be able to reach the Cannon Boss nodes or Koufu Castle Entrance node.
- To unlock the Cannon Boss nodes, you will need to defeat 10 Enemy Invasion teams.
- To unlock the route to the Koufu Castle Entrance node, you will need to defeat the 2 Cannon Bosses.
Enemy Invasion[]
When proceeding in the Koufuchu map, every 3 moves you make will result in invasion by the enemy. There are three types of actions that may be taken by the enemy:
- Invasion
- The Enemy Invasion teams will move 1 node towards the your Base nodes.
- Any Territory nodes that is invaded by the Enemy Invasion teams will turn into Enemy Territory nodes.
- Battles will occur if the Enemy Invasion teams advances into the node you are standing on.
- Your Base node will be lost if the Enemy Invasion teams reaches it.
- Losing all 3 Base nodes will result in the failure to clear the Koufuchu map and you will be forced to retreat.
- Upon return to the event map, you will have to clear Koufuchu again.
- Reinforcements
- A new Enemy Invasion team will appear on the map.
- One or two new Enemy Invasion teams will randomly appear at the furthest part of the map.
- The new Enemy Invasion teams will advance during the next invasion towards the Base nodes.
- Once you defeat 10 Enemy Invasion teams, there shall be no more reinforcements.
- Bombardment
- The Cannon Boss will shoot cannonballs at the Territory nodes.
- The Territory nodes that are shot, will turn into Enemy Territory nodes.
- One of the two Cannon Bosses will alternatively shoot bombardments. The Base nodes will not be shot.
- Once you defeat the Cannon Boss, the Cannon from that node will no longer shoot bombardments.
Territory nodes[]
- Defeating the enemies in the Enemy Territory nodes will turn it into a Territory node.
- You will automatically start off with a few Territory nodes when you first enter the Koufuchu map.
- The starting node in Koufuchu map is a Recovery node that is also treated as a Territory node.
- Apart from the starting node, all other Territory nodes do not have any special effects when you land on them.
- But if you are traveling across several connected Territory nodes, it will only be counted as 1 move.
- The Territory nodes that are counted as connected will light up when you move, and landing on any lighted Territory node will only reduce your move counter by 1.
- Territory nodes that are invaded will become Enemy Territory nodes. Defeating the enemy on the Enemy Territory nodes can turn it back to Territory nodes.
Clearing Koufu Castle[]
- Advance through the Koufu Castle map while evading the Enemy Security Forces.
- For every action you take (either advancing on nodes, or the choice of standing by), the Enemy Security Forces will move 1 node.
- Proceed through the Koufu Castle map to reach the Koufu Citadel without encountering any Enemy Security Forces.
Enemy Security Force[]
- The Enemy Security Forces can only move in a certain range on the Koufu Castle map.
- When you encounter the Enemy Security Forces, you will be forced into battle. Regardless of whether you defeat them or not, you will restart at the restart points of Koufu Castle map, which is the last Return node you managed to reach before encountering the Enemy Security Force.
- No moves will be deducted for being sent to the Return node.
- The next move of the Enemy Security Force will take will show up on the map as indicated by the glowing node.
Stand by[]
- Apart from choosing to move to a different node by using your moves, you can choose to stand by on a node without moving.
- In the event you choose to stand by, no moves will be deducted from the move counter.
Cleared Nodes[]
- Upon defeating the Enemy Security Force in battle, the node will turn into a Cleared node.
- There shall be no effects if you land or stand by on a Cleared node.
Evaluation[]
- After defeating the Koufu Citadel Final Boss, the Inspector will commence his evaluation. The evaluation criteria is as follows:
- Good - Defeating the Koufu Citadel Final Boss team captain and uchigatana, and or the entire team, and achieve S or A rank victory
- Fair - Defeating the Koufu Citadel Final Boss with B rank victory
- Fail - Defeating the Koufu Citadel Final Boss with C rank victory
- Being evaluated Good will clear the event, and there will be no more evaluation in the next round of the event.
- If you are evaluated Fair or Fail, the event will not be cleared, and upon return to the event map, you will restart at the starting node of Koufu Castle.
Event Items[]
Lucky 7 Dice[]
The Lucky 7 Dice is an item that can only be used in Special Investigation events and can be bought from the Shop. Effect: It can be used instead of the normal dice in the Special Investigation event map and increases the action counter by 7.
- Cannot be used when your action counter is not 0.
- It is possible to purchase the Lucky 7 Dice in the event map if the Lucky 7 Dice in your possession is 0.
- Remaining Lucky 7 Dice will be deleted after the event ends.
Dried Chestnuts[]
The Dried Chestnuts is an item that can only be used in Special Investigations event and can be bought from the Shop.
Effect: Used during sorties in Special Investigation event to restore the HP and troops of all swords in your party.
You can use it by selecting the [Recover team] tab.
- You cannot restore a sword that was broken in battle.
- You can restore troops lost in battle.
- If you return to the citadel either by forced retreat, defeat or ranking, troops that were destroyed cannot be recovered using Dried Chestnuts after you re-enter the event map.
- It is possible to purchase Dried Chestnuts in the event map if the Dried Chestnuts in your possession is 0.
- Remaining Dried Chestnuts will be deleted after the event ends.
Shortcut Key[]
The Shortcut Key can only be used in the Special Investigation event and can be bought at the Shop.
Effect: You can choose to access the shortcut from Koufuchu to the Koufu Castle Citadel Court when it unlocks after you progress in the event.
- It will allow you to bypass searching for keys to the entrance.
After you defeat the Koufu Castle Citadel Court Boss, the shortcut closes.
You will need to purchase another Shortcut Key to access the shortcut every time you sortie into the event map.
- Remaining Shortcut Keys will be deleted after the event ends.
Disconnection of Game[]
- You can re-access the event from where you were disconnected after you re-login.
- If you were disconnected during a battle, you will be returned to the battle completion page where your victory or defeat is already determined.
- Should you lose your battle, you will be returned to the citadel and when you re-sortie, you will restart from the furthest returning point you reached in the last sortie.
Special Investigation: Keiou Koufu Event Scenes[]
Special Investigation: Keiou Koufu Event Scenes will be unlocked once you fulfill certain requirements.
- If you have not unlocked the scenes, you cannot access them.
- If you do not have Kashuu Kiyomitsu or his kiwame during the Special Investigation: Keiou Koufu event, all the related event scenes will not be unlocked. However, the Special Investigation: Keiou Koufu Event Scenes will be unlocked upon you obtaining Kashuu Kiyomitsu and/or his kiwame even after the Special Investigation: Keiou Koufu event ends.
