Repairs (手入) is where you can repair your damaged swords. Swords do not naturally regain health, and must be repaired to restore them to full health. Repairs will recover both HP and Fatigue levels. Each sword needs time and resources to be repaired. The time and resources required differs with sword type and scales upwards with damage sustained and level, and are shown before you begin repairing them.
Using a Help Token (手伝い札) will skip the time required and repair a sword automatically. Help Tokens can be applied before or during repairs.
Once a repair has commenced, repairs can not be stopped until the time required has elapsed, or until a Help Token is used. Until the sword has finished repairs, the sword cannot be refined, equipped with troops and horses, or sent on Kiwame. Moreover, the party containing the sword cannot go to the Front Lines or on Expeditions. Likewise, injured swords on an expedition or on a Kiwame journey cannot be repaired.
By default, a player owns 2 workshops (攻防) for repairing swords, but additional workshops can be purchased from the Shop (万屋). Up to 4 workshops may be owned.
Repair Time Calculations[]
A sword's repair time varies with the following factors:
- Type of Sword (Tantou, Wakizashi, etc.) (see chart below)
- Level
- Damage Taken
For level 1-11 swords:
Repair Time = [(Level * 10) * Multiplier * Missing HP] seconds + 30 seconds
For level 12 or higher swords:
Repair Time = [(Level * 5 + Amplifier) * Multiplier * Missing HP] seconds + 30 seconds Where Amplifier = [√(Level - 11)]*10 + 50 (truncate the decimal of the number inside the [ ])
Sword Type | Multiplier |
---|---|
Tantou | 1.0 |
Wakizashi | 1.5 |
Uchigatana | 2.0 |
Uchigatana | 4.0 |
Tachi | 4.0 |
Ootachi | 6.0 |
Yari | 2.5 |
Naginata | 3.0 |
Tsurugi | 5.0 |
For example:
Yagen Toushirou (Tantou), LV. 5, 15/27 HP Repair Time = [(5 * 10) * 1.0 * 12] seconds + 30 seconds = 630 seconds (10 minutes and 30 seconds) Kousetsu Samonji (Tachi), LV. 54, 51/57 HP Amplifier = [√(54 - 11)]*10 + 50 = 6.55*10 + 50 = 6*10 + 50 = 110 Repair Time = [(54 * 5 + 110) * 4.0 * 6] seconds + 30 seconds = 9150 seconds (2 hours, 32 minutes and 30 seconds)
Repair Cost Calculations[]
Unlike repair times, repair costs only vary from the type of sword and damage taken. Kogitsunemaru (and his Kiwame form) is a special case; his repair costs are half of the cost for other swords of the same type.
To calculate repair costs, multiply the sword's damage to the base value for the sword's type.
Sword Type | Base Value | |||
---|---|---|---|---|
Tantou | 1 | 2 | 0 | 1 |
Wakizashi | 2 | 4 | 0 | 2 |
Uchigatana | 4 | 4 | 1 | 4 |
Uchigatana | 4 | 10 | 10 | 2 |
Tachi | 4 | 10 | 10 | 2 |
Ootachi | 4 | 12 | 12 | 2 |
Yari | 12 | 12 | 4 | 12 |
Naginata | 12 | 12 | 4 | 12 |
Tsurugi | 12 | 8 | 10 | 16 |
Sword Type (Kiwame) | Base Value | |||
---|---|---|---|---|
Tantou | 5 | 5 | 5 | 5 |
Wakizashi | 6 | 7 | 5 | 6 |
Uchigatana | 8 | 8 | 5 | 8 |
Uchigatana | 8 | 13 | 13 | 6 |
Tachi | 8 | 13 | 13 | 6 |
Ootachi | 8 | 15 | 15 | 6 |
Yari | 16 | 16 | 8 | 16 |
Naginata | 16 | 16 | 8 | 16 |
For example: An Uchigatana sword with 30/50 HP would have the following repair costs:
Damage = 50 - 30 = 20; therefore: Charcoal = Damage x 4 = 80 Steel = Damage x 4 = 80 Coolant = Damage x 1 = 20 Whetstone = Damage x 4 = 80
Note: From their implementation until the update on April 9, 2024, Ishida Masamune and Magoroku Kanemoto had the repair costs and timer of a Rarity-2 Uchigatana. The update corrected their costs and timers to reflect their Rarity-3 status.
