You and I are only treated as spiritual blades since we were held by Lord Ieyasu. Considering how he has distorted our fates as swords, I think I can be forgiven for something like this.

Right. If you ask me, he's more of a timid little puppy than a wolf. Really, not elegant at all. O-Sayo, don't be like him. Both fighting and poetry are not things to be done alone.

The title of this Recollection is a reference to the family crests of the Hosokawa and Date clans. The Hosokawa crest is based on the Navagraha (nine planets) of Hindu astrology while the Date crest is known as the 'sparrows in bamboo' (take ni suzume).
