We are swords made by Gou no Yoshihiro, one of the Three Great Smiths Under The Heavens as acknowledged by the great ruler Toyotomi Hideyoshi. To many daimyo, we were valued family heirlooms and prized gifts. That is precisely why it was said that a single Gou sword could buy an entire country. For me, it was the Maeda family, and for you, it were the Hosokawa and Inaba families, I suppose.
